Ok, I'm not sure this is the right place to direct this, but I'm hoping it will

Who is the spelling be failure who put "judgment" at the only spelling for that word in the US English
dictionary? WordPerfect (which I have learned to trust far more on spelling issues than OOo) spells the word the word
either "judgement" or "judgment." Wiktionary lists "judgment" as an ALTERNATIVE spelling.

How did this get through? This isn't the first time I've notice problems with
the spell check function. I thought this was supposed to be a collaborative,
peer review process. Obviously, someone has a fetish for alternative spellings.

How do I delete the wrong spelling and replace it with the primary accepted
spelling of a word?

First of all, spelling bee is spelled "bee" and not "be" like you spelled it. Second, you mis-spelled "as" as "at" (right after the first time you used "judgment"). So maybe your spelling could be improved a bit. :)

I checked the Merriam-Webster dictionary which lists "judgment" as the preferred spelling with "judgement" listed as a "variant" spelling. Also, for what it's worth, Thunderbird shows "judgment" as correct and "judgement" as being not in its dictionary.

But on to your question: Deleting entries isn't all that easy, although I understand it can be done (I just don't know how). However, adding entries is very easy. Just go to somewhere in your document where you have typed "judgement", right click on it, point to Add, then select standard.dic. Now it won't flag "judgement" as being mis-spelled.
