Hello,

Maybe disactivate your fortifications (after disconnecting from the
internet), then install OOo (which is quite harmless, if you download from
www.openOffice.org), and after install is finished, re-arm your fortress and
reconnect to the world.
I'm so happy that I have a Mac...
