If you purchased OpenOffice you need to talk to the people you paid.
OpenOffice is available free at <www.openoffice.org>; free to download and
free to use. Installation instructions are at <
http://download.openoffice.org/common/instructions.html>.

For us to help help you installing the software we need help from you first.
Please explain *exactly* what you tried to do and *exactly* what happened,
particularly including the precise text of any error messages you got.
Please also say which version of OpenOffice you bought.

It is perfectly legal to sell OpenOffice provided the vendor meets the terms
of the licence. Some people sell OpenOffice on CD for just a few
dollars/pounds/euros. This provides a service to those with
slow/expensive/unreliable internet connections who don't want to (or cannot)
download a fairly large file. Some people sell OpenOffice with extra
"goodies" - software enhancements, training, installation support etc.
Whether or not any particualr deal is good value depends on the price &
goodies delivered and on the buyer's requirements. Others just sell
OpenOffice, as is, to make a "fast buck" relying on the buyer not being
aware that the same software is available free. Unfortunately about the only
remedy is via the individual buyer's credit card company, if the buyer paid
that way.
