Sorry Richard, but your cc seems to have gone to the wrong address. Interestingly I can't see Simon's name on any earlier posting, but he may have used another alias.

I agree that posts cannot be deleted as they are spread far and wide across the world by now, and archived in several places.

I have no official position, but apologies to Simon if a response on the list appeared to be rude. In general this list is fairly polite - at least the volunteers who respond. We get a few irate posters, and I am usually amazed by the restraint of the responses to these. I don't thinks any of them are mine, so I can complement my fellow volunteers. Sometimes it is a weakness of the written word that allows for the reader to apply their own "tone" to it, so that a message may appear rude when it was not so intended.
