Hi
A restart did fix it. One reason I prefer Mac is that I can keep it on, using the spaces feature I have many applications, etc open. I was hoping that the problem might have been seen before so that I might not have to restart - it wouldn't always be convenient in my work role.
Thanks again for the reply
Steve

Hi
I'm using OO v2.4 on a macbook with OSX 10.5
Today while using calc, I inadvertently pressed the shift-lock key,
and the used the shift key. Now with shift-lock off I get capitals,
and I have to press shift to get lower-case. I have restarted OO, no
change - will I need a reboot, or is there something else I can do?
Many Thanks
Steve

99% chance a restart/reboot/warm boot will handle it. A flag's just
sort of gotten itself upside down. I've seen it happen a couple of
times. Depending on how your system handles things, anything from an
account log-off/on might work or it could take a full power down/ removal
and cold boot to get RAM sufficiently cleared.
I'm curious why you wouldn't just go ahead and do so, rather than ASK
if a restart would help?
