I am running Mac OS X 10.5.2 with an Intel processor and
OpenOffice.org 2.4.
If I launch OpenOffice without first starting X11, the X11 xterm loads
and after about 15 seconds an OpenOffice prompt appears with the
message "Command timed out". I can click "cancel" or "ok" after
which OpenOffice Writer is properly launched. The OpenOffice suite
appears to run correctly from this point forward, but I dont
understand that error message.
Also, is there that X11 can run in the background without appearing
with OpenOffice?
