I knew this was an old one, and there was a mail in the archives from GR
Singleton August 2006 - of course pointing to the User Guide.
That's not /quite/ enough info to locate the mail :-{
It is on page 157 (175 of the pdf.) in my copy anyway.
Sorry Mike, that was intended for the old hands on the list, who will
remember that G R S almost always pointed inquirers to the place where
information could be found, rather than telling them directly. That is
what he did in that mail, and giving the link would not have helped the OP.
Good philosophy. Good that GRS's tips remain on file.
But it still doesn't answer my own problem: Given an /existing/
document, and wishing to reformat^Wrestyle a page within it, how does
one do this? Everything I've tried either does nothing, or alters the
first page only, or alters everything.
Could someone try this perhaps please, and put me out of my misery?
Either I've very badly misunderstood something, or there's a rather
nasty bug - I rather hope it's the former :-)

Just d/l the current users guide. Have a look at p 418 - 452 of the pdf.
Looks like a rather more extensive version of Brian Baker's suggestion.
Did you try that?
