Hebrew numeric is like in English not like in Arabic.
this error is is taking a lot of time to be fixed and some friend I know {and
myself} are starting to think about dropping the use in open office by now.

Try checking the numeric setting in Tools -> Options... -> Language
Settings -> Complex Text Layout. I suspect it is set to Arabic and that
it should be set to System.
