Hi, I got a new box, installed opensuse 10.3 x86_64 on it. Further I installed openoffice from openoffice.org, not the one that comes with the distribution.
When I click the "Finish" button on the registration, after initial start, OpenOffice freezes. After killing and restarting, the registration does not come up again. So not a real big problem. It also freezes when I try to print. I've set the SAL_DISABLE_CUPS=1. Without that setting I can successfully print to the printers that come from cups. But as I can change the defaults of these printers when I hit the save button in kprinter, it is a pita to use these printers directly from cups. Therefore SAL_DISABLE_CUPS=1, and kprinter configured as generic printer via spadmin. When I then click on the print button, in the openoffice print menu, this one disappears, but the kprinter menu never shows up, and openoffice freezes. Is this a known problem, where maybe someone has a solution? Any more info I can provide? I'm now going to install the OOo version that comes with opensuse. kind regards Sebastian --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
