I very much appreciate your reply.  I am using a MacBook Pro with an Intel
Core Duo processor.  My operating system is ³Leopard² (Mac OS X v. 5.2) with
X11 application installed.  I believe that X11 is necessary for Open Office
to access the Unix features that are the basis of Leopard.  If you would
indulge another question...I have been able to install Open Office in my
Applications folder, as instructed, but the application will not open when I
click on the OO icon.  Instead, an X11window opens taking me to the
Terminal.  Looks like below.  I cannot determine from online help where to
go from here.   Any suggestions that you might have would be quite welcome.
Should you not be a Mac user, I wonder if you might be able to forward me or
my question to one.  Thanks very much.
