If you would indulge another question...I have been able to install
Open Office in my Applications folder, as instructed, but the

The X11 window, xterm as it calls itself, is a natural part of X11
starting up. Just put it in the dock or leave it behind your Open
Office window, which should also appear. The X11 that comes with
Leopard is not complete yet, and we recommend installing the open
source Xquartz package to fix many X11 problems. The 2.2.1 version
of Xquartz is available here: http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/
xquartz/wiki/X112.2.1 . Download and install the package then log
out and back in again.
