Hi,

I am using OpenOffice Ver 2.3.

I have a MS Word 2000 file, which has several “Forms” in it. When I edit the file using OpenOffice and save as “MS Word 97/XP/2000”, some of the contents are not saving properly. I am not able to see most of the Forms contents after editing using OpenOffice.

I would like to append below the step-by-step process, I have done:

§ Open the MS Word 2000 file, which has “Forms” in it

§ Edit the file using OpenOffice 2.3

§ Save the file as MS Word 97/XP/2000 and close

§ When I again open the same file, I am not able to see most of the contents

Please help in this regard.

A quick answer to this is highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

K R Udupa

As you are not subscribed to the mailing list, I am Cc,ing this to you.

It is very hard to help you when many of us don't have the problem as you describe.

I have used OOo for ages with forms and since 2.0 came out, I would say most of my problems are gone.

What happens when you save the document as a ISO standard ODF file? Is everything there?

Look at the formatting of the forms and see if there is something that is different between the ones that work and don't work.

Please only reply to the list. Thank you.

Robin
