I have a MS Word 2000 file, which has several “Forms” in it. When I edit
the file using OpenOffice and save as “MS Word 97/XP/2000”, some of the
contents are not saving properly. I am not able to see most of the Forms
contents after editing using OpenOffice.
For various reasons, it is not possible to convert all contents of
msDocuments perfectly, alas.
You have run in one of those situations.
Therefore the availability and use of a good usable open document
standard (i.e. ODF) is such a welcome situation. For older documents,
that needs a conversion/remake.
