Did I miss something? Were you offended on-list? If so I hope not by me. I know that I am often honest and to-the-point to the point of being offensive, but that is not because of personal feelings. I simply do not sugar-coat constructive criticism. Maybe you should mention what catalised your decision to leave. Don't sugar coat, be blunt. Quote offensive emails. Although I do not use the Base component, I know that you are one of the more helpful list members in answering questions concerning that component. You will be missed, both by regular list members and by nonregulars who pop in with a question. Take care.
