How did you convert from OOo to MS Word?
The "right" way is to use File>Save As, choose the right format from
the list, choose a name for the document and make sure the little box
labelled "Automatic file name extension" is ticked (checked). If you
leave out that last bit it won't work properly ...
Additional thought: Ask what software your potential boss uses. Also
ask if submission by PDF is acceptable.
