Did you actually save it as a .DOC file, by selecting Word format from
the drop down list in '"Save as"? Simply changing the extension from
ODT to DOC will not work with Word. Also, ensure automatic file name
extension is selected. You can also create a PDF of the document, by
clicking on the PDF icon, located on the tool bar.
