I'm trying to use writer for a simple newsletter -- I've defined a '2col' page style, with 2 columns and a footer, and then did a manual insert to add a new page, choosing the 2col style. And for a reason I don't understand, the first column is split into two parts. What did I miss?
Could it be a setting / property to devide contents evenly over the two columns?
