Sorry, forgot to add that if you are using debian and want to use the
procedure to install from an rpm tz then you (at least on Ubuntu) only
need to install the 'rpm' package, as it includes rpm2cpio etc., so:

sudo apt-get install rpm

Then follow the instructions - substituting the tz name for whatever you
are extracting.

Drop me a note off-list if you need more help. I currently have the
following installed on this system (Ubuntu 7.10):

Linux:
1. Ubuntu (U)OOo 2.3.0 - installed as the regular package
2. Standard OOo 2.3.1 - installed as a parallel in a home folder.
3. Standard OOo 2.4.0 - installed as a parallel in a home folder.
4. Standard OOo 3.0 Beta (M2) installed as a parallel in a home folder.
5. Standard OOo 3.0 Beta M14 installed as regular package in /opt folder.
6. go-oo OOo 3.0 Beta (flr's) installed as a parallel in a home folder

Windows (Win2KPro):
1. Standard OOo 2.4.0 installed
2. go-oo OOo 3.0 Beta installed
