Hello galit,

Caution is a good thing when installing binary (executable) files from a download on the internet! I believe - everyone would be better off if more people practiced more of it.

For the files downloaded from www.openoffice.org rest assured that all due diligence has been taken to insure that they are free of any intentional defects or malware. The files are actually compiled by a software development team at SUN Microsystems in Hamburg Germany for the OpenOffice.org project, the same organization responsible for the SUN Microsystems commercial version of the application, StarOffice.

If you have further concerns, or questions regarding the OpenOffice.org organization, please do not hesitate to ask.
