Yes, it did! Even though I have Tiger, not Leopard. Thank you! I
now have access to my dock and that's what I needed. Thanks again,
Dave.

I have OpenOffice 2.4 loaded and it works. I have two questions
that seem to be specific to my iMac. Clicking on the icon on the
desktop loads OpenOffice and x11, but doesn't open Open Office. I
have to go down to the dock and open it by right clicking on it
and telling it to open. Minor, but I don't think it's supposed to
work that way. Second question, much more important. When I'm
done with Open Office, it has completely filled the screen and I
can find no keystroke combination to regain control of the
computer. I can close OpenOffice but I have a grey screen
remaining the will not go away unless I turn off the machine and
restart it. I'm sure this isn't the way it's supposed to work,
either. Any help would be appreciated because this doesn't seem
to be addressed in FAQs. Thank you.
Both of these are mostly likely related to X11. You have Leopard,
i presume?
If so, the first problem can be helped by getting a more bugfixed
X11 from here: http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X112.2.1 .
I also recommend keeping an eye on the xquartz site for a new
version in the next week or two.
For the second problem, i believe you may have changed something
in X11's prefs: go to X11> Preferences> Export. I suppose you have
the first option ticked (activate menu command Screen filling view)
or you might try to use the toggle key to go from full screen to
normal:
Cmd-Option-A
Does that help?
