I saved my file in a pdf format thinking this would solve the problem. How can I convert my oo files so they can be read by windows. Thanks

I don't recall reading what your original problem was, but a PDF should be readable on almost any computer. However, by default, OpenOffice saves files in the ISO standard ODF formats, which Microsoft Office does not understand (Microsoft has promised ODF support in a service pack for Office 2007, next year). This means that you'll have to save in the appropriate Microsoft file formats. You can select the appropriate format, from the drop down list in Save as. Also ensure automatic file name extension is selected. You can also email in Microsoft formats by clicking on File > Send > E-mail as Microsoft Word.

Of course, you can also encourage others to install OpenOffice or perhaps the Sun ODF plugin, which adds ODF support to Microsoft Office.

BTW, you may wish to check your computer clock. It appears you're not going to send the message I'm replying to, for another 12 hours yet. ;-)
