This rings alarm bells for me. "Wrong OS or OS Version" would
usually mean the copy of OpenOffice.org that was downloaded was for
a Mac or Linux or some other OS.
You would think so. And so would I - if I hadn't seen the simpler
explanation with my own eyes. If you unpack the Windows version but
then try to run either instmsia.exe or instmsiw.exe instead of the
correct setup.exe, the error message you get is "Wrong OS or OS
Version for application".
