Jack, my impression may be inaccurate - I certainly don't have any reliable
statistics at hand - but one of the most frequent causes of difficulty in
the installation process on Windows machines seems to me to be interference
from anti-malware programmes. For this, reason, along with the instructions
you suggest, I should like to propose that instructions to temporarily turn
off one's antivirus programme during installation also be included in this
advisory. And it might not be a bad idea to also say something about turning
off the firewall during the downloading process....
