That business aside, why can't you do US sorts? We use BM-Win Plus for
our Cass software, which I believe is available for purchase in Canada
also. We do the sorts right inside BM-Win, then export the results into
a format that we can run through our in-house mailing software.
We had sufficient US sortation to do that we used purchased software to
do them in house.
New postal regulations this year required us to upgrade the software we
had purchased to include some new files, or perhaps one new file (I
don’t recall now).
When making arrangements to obtain these files from the company at
additional cost) we were informed that due to homeland security
regulations these could not be sent out of the country rendering the
sortation software almost useless to us.
So we now outsource US sorts.
