Alternatively, it is proof that FLOSS is better equipped at providing
solutions --- both short term and long term --- than proprietary
software is able to do.

There are two programs I use, that run on Windows:
* Mastercook;
* e-Sword and related utility programs;

With Mastercook, the major issue is that I haven't found any software
that imports Mastercook recipes into the Linux version.
(I'm looking into writing a program in Python, using SQLite,  that
will import Mastercook recipes, and providing at least all of the
functionality that Mastercook has.)

* e-Sword.  This runs on WINE. However, the useful utility programs
don't work in WINE.  :(    The Sword Project doesn't measure up, in
terms of either features, or resources.   If I was in seminary, I'd
need Logos, which blows away all other Bible Study software, in terms
of legally distributed resources.
