I installed DEV300_m19 on SUSE Linux.
When I look at Tools|Options|OOo General|Java, I see "Free Software
Foundation 1.4.2" version is available.
When I choose "Add", and point to the folder
"/usr/lib/jvm/java-1_4_2-sun-1.4.2.13/jre", then OOo complaints that
the folder does not hold a jre.
However, when I look at the OOo 2.4.1 installation, it does point to
that same directory for the Jave JRE
So I'm puzzled...
Anyone an idea what can be wrong, or able to test on it's own system?
When Fedora 8 had this problem, they claimed that it was related to
Operating system issue and I had to use the Fedora distribution. This
was not the case for Fedora 7 or Fedora 9.
Thanks for your reply.
But who is "they"? The OOo development/support?
Strange thing, all in all.
