I had a similar issue with reports generated by Enterprise Architect. It
seems that it was embedding some sort of database field and it was not
properly extracting the values. I was able, however, to generate the
report without the embedded fields, which worked... Not an option for
you, however... Are you able to read the document in Word and then save
in a different format that removes the problem?
Consider opening a bug and attaching a sample document... If you are
not able to do so, perhaps I can file an issue for you (email me
directly if you desire that I do this).
