Hi Bill,
Have you tried downloading here?
http://download.openoffice.org/3.0beta/
I don't use a mac but clicking on the Mac Aqua link immediately wants to
download a .dmg file which may mean something to you. It says it's the
English (US) version. Isn't that what you want?
