I don't know if this is where I want to comment to, but nothing else seems right either. I used Open Office on a computer a couple of years ago that I inherited (literally) from my wife's mother, who did not use it much. That computer died, and I loaded on the next one a copy of MSOffice 97 I had. That started getting recalcitrant, and they won't answer questions, so I downloaded OO from the website. That now takes a very long time to come up (maybe a half hour right now.) Any ideas?
