Subject: Reading PDF Files

Hello!

I am about to start proofreading for another organization. I am used to receiving my articles in Word Files and want to update my creaky Word 97. The new group sent me PDF files and I don't have Adobe.? Can OpenOffice read/edit PDF files?

No, it can't.

I assume you are running Microsoft Windows. If you want a zero-cost and light weight PDF reader for Windows, try Foxit Reader <http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php> as an Adobe Reader alternative.

Cheers,
Gabriel Menini

Please answer ASAP.

Thanx.
