I'm not sure about this but I seem to remember that when you register
for this forum you get an e-mail containing a link and a request that
you go to that web page to confirm your registration. This is done to
avoid "bots" registering and then spamming the forum. Did you get such
an e-mail? Did you go to the link? I think you will then get a "welcome
to ..." e-mail after which you should be able to log in.
