I'm not sure about this but I seem to remember that when you register
for this forum you get an e-mail containing a link and a request that
you go to that web page to confirm your registration. This is done to
avoid "bots" registering and then spamming the forum. Did you get such
an e-mail? Did you go to the link? I think you will then get a
"welcome to ..." e-mail after which you should be able to log in.
Your description is exactly right. I know why I have go back to the web
site after registering, and I did that.
I used the link the email provided to register the passwords, and then
pointed the browser to the web site, my browser entered the user name
and password. The page stated that I had entered an invalid user name or
password in each case, and did so even when I carefully typed in the
user name and password.
I believe I did everything you and the email and the web site said to do
but I am NOT able to log on. That is how I finished registering in the
first place, and how I received the second password.
Nevertheless, if you think I may have missed some point, please ask more
questions.
Otherwise, who do I ask for help in this issue?
