Given the rest of this thread i wonder if advising users to subscribe,
especially those with a one-off question is advisable. 90%+ of new users
simply want their question answered so they can continue with their
work. Then they trundle off and are happy.

The ones that subscribe should be those of us experienced enough to
offer help to others on an ongoing basis. I do see relevance for a power
word processor user to be subscribed, but again less than 10% of us are
that.
