I thought that by downloading this programme, I would be able to complete a

whatsoever and now a computer that won't allow me to open e-mail attachments or
print.
Can you please tell me how I can uninstall this asap so that I can resume
normal use of my laptop.
I am very aggrieved.
Many thanks

I am confused by your question but I think I can help your confusion. The file you have opened is used by OpenOffice to set up the install. If you go to the >Start >My Programs (All Programs in Vista) you should find a folder called OpenOffice.org followed by the version number. In that folder is a shortcut to writer to enable you to start the word processor or Impress to complete the business presentation.

Please be careful to keep the file in the format you need e.g. PowerPoint as OpenOffice has its own format that PowerPoint cannot read.

To uninstall the process is exactly the same as any other Windows program. I assume you are in windows and in the control panel there is "add/remove programs" under XP or "Programs and features" under Vista. The removal of the OpenOffice will be in there.

I am sorry you have been disappointed with your use of OpenOffice.

Rob
