Additional comment:

Like Rob, I too am confused by your claims. If you are suddenly unable
to open emails or print, there must be some other problem with your
computer. If this was something caused by installing OOo
(OpenOffice.org) millions of other users would be reporting the problem.

Your grievance seems to stem from you not reading the installation
instructions, which are linked from the same page you used to access the
download link. http://download.openoffice.org/common/instructions.html

I would recommend that you calm your frustration, follow Rob's advice
and if you are still experiencing problems, write back to this list and
we will try to help resolve your issues.
