If the recipient is not expected to edit the document I recommend you to export the file as PDF (via the toolbar icon or the File menu). If you really need the document in MS Word format, then select File > Save As and then select in the Save As Type drop down menu MS Word 97/2000/XP (.doc). Note that, although rare, there are occasions where the conversion to .doc is not perfect and the document may not show as intended to the recipient. With PDF you do not have this problem (it is very much like sending a printed copy of the document).
