PDFBox 1.5 is very slow in loading PDFs

Hello ,

I have tried loading the PDF Reference 1.7(1310 pages) using PDFBox version 1.4 
and 1.5.
Version 1.4 loaded the PDF in 12 seconds.
Version 1.5 loaded the PDF in 2 minutes and 29 seconds.

Is this normal ?
