Hello. I need to create a layer and add some graphic there.
However I got stuck at understanding how to. Only ref I found googling
is here:

which however is based on 1.8. I tried to adapt to 2.0 and managed to
create the layer, but apparently anything written to the page does not go
into the new layer. Apparently what i'm missing is how to associate new
resources to the new layer .. any help/example would be wellcomemed
