No, I very much doubt it would.

Not having nss or turning off ssl in the cmake config (ccmake gives you
the main options).
Because before we test the features, we would like to make sure unit tests
of Qpid are green.

Yes, the dependency on cyrus-sasl and openssl is optional and even if
built in, you don't need to use it.
Sorry, I should have said nss (which is what qpid-cpp uses), not openssl
(whihc is what proton-c uses).
