Hi, thank you for your tip, that indeed helped. I know that direct http connection is not working for us, thus I had my default settings.xml proxy configured and that worked fine for all mvn compilations done on SMX 3.3.1 so far. And even worked for FUSE 4.2 and SMX4.0 without any issues.
After your post I set up variable $maven.home (as written in help in config file). That didn't helped. Then I set 'org.ops4j.pax.url.mvn.settings" variable to have explicit link to my settings.xml file (which is the only file in my whole file system) and then things started to work. I am using Microsoft Vista Business SP 1. While this maven settings reading is still a mystery at least I can work with testing main features and functionality now.
