Does anyone know the preferences line (config editor) in thunderbird where we may be able to "force" the settings using the integrator? (direct, auto, proxy setting)

Cheers,

Ryan

Bingo! That was it, if set to Direct Connection, or define a proxy then all is working well, if set to Auto, then we get read-only calendars. Nice find!

I just did some testing on my Thunderbird. When I define the proxy by name and port, the calendars load fine. When I use an URL to the auto proxy, I have the read only problem. I will confirm this on some other machines.

A handful of our users have the same issue, once thunderbird is loaded, select the calendar, and all are read-only. Reloading the remote calendars works, but trying to track this down as well. Will go through the logs at the time it happens to see if I can see anything.

I'm wondering if it could be related to the fact that we use a proxy and I have this configured in Thunderbird.

Not for me. Your logs at the time?

When starting up Thunderbird and switching to the calendars, they typically show read only or a yellow triangle. If I reload the calendars they are fine. Is this typical?
