Hello,
Awesome! It seems you're the first who bring native MAPI support among
the fully opensource groupware.
Indeed, I think we're the first ones to do this.
1. Is there a plan to support shared folders for Outlook natively?
Our university has a few (work)groups of users, who sort and store
large amount of incoming correspondence collaboratively through the
Exchange shared folders. And we (admins) can't get rid of Exchange
without saving the look-and-feel of shared space for those few groups
of users.
We haven't looked at this so I can't tell.
2. Is MAPI a top priority for main developers now? When should we
start the testing+feedback?
It sure is one of our priority. We first need to finalize our POC before
folks can start testing it and provide us some feedback. For this to
happen, we need some changes in OpenChange (we're working with them on
this) and we need to integrate the calendaring part.
Once the POC is complete, we'll have a very good understanding or what's
missing and what are the efforts required to provide a first final
version with a sufficient feature set.
3. Does this update involve lots of new strings for translation?
Not really, there should be none in fact.
Regards,
