Just a comment regarding the packaging of Samba4 and OpenChange on Debian, and I guess Ubuntu. There are already Debian packages for both of these in sid and experimental: http://packages.debian.org/sid/samba4 http://packages.debian.org/sid/openchangeserver It *may* be possible to backport these to Squeeze, I don't know about Lenny. I have had an initial look at the packages and using the squeeze-backports of debhelper it might be a simple job of installing all the build dependencies (dpkg-checkbuilddeps) and building (dpkg-buildpackage -b -uc). It should, theoretically, also be possible (simple?) to build versions that go into /opt or /usr/local. If then the sogo 2.0 packages were built to look for libraries in these locations before the defaults then you could have Samba 3 and 4 along side each other if it is only the libraries that are required from Samba4 and no daemons. I do a little bit of backporting, but am not a Debian packaging expert. If I get some time, I will take a clean Squeeze install and try to backport these.
