We are having the same issue here and are running dovecot 2.1.10
compiled from atrpms spec and dovecot source.

I found that Calendar and Contacts works fine (I manually changed the
URL in browser). Only the mail module is affected.
Could it be that it only crashes with some specific versions of Dovecot?

No, I have the same version of Dovecot on both servers, 2.0.9. The
server in question also has another problem starting with SOGo v.2.0:
the proxy server die immediately after start. After the upgrade to 2.0
I had to start sogo manually as user sogo, but, i think that behavior
is not related with this one. Is there a way to debug the proxy server?
