How are you installing the ZEG? VMware or Virtualbox?
You can specify how many network adapters, and which kind, are used in
the virtual system in either VMware or Virtualbox, and you can specify
NAT or Bridged (bridged works best for me)
As for Ubuntu, check out "/etc/network/interfaces" for the NICs and IPs
You should be able to import the ZEG appliance into either VMware or
Virtualbox and login directly with the default user "sogo" and default
password "sogo" VMware allows you to access it via a console.

Hi Steve, thanks for the suggestion.
The only rule in that file was one starting with SUBSYSTEM=='net'. Not
not sure if that is what you meant - it did reference et* and eth0,
within it. Anyway I deleted it. After rebooting the problem remains.
The file had been rebuilt with exactly (as far as I could see) the
same line.
Any further ideas would be appreciated...
