I'm afraid that I'm going to have to argue that point.

Cingular (formerly AT&T and Cingular) has the largest network, and neither 
has been a population-centered or major highway-centered network in years.

In fact, when the two were still separate entities, nationwide customers 
used to roam on each other's networks, anyhow, and there were agreements 
with T-Mobile to share networks for the GSM customers.

Now that Cingular is moving to all GSM, and has upgraded just about all of 
its towers to handle it, they've actually cancelled a lot of their 
agreements to use T-Mobile's networks to carry their own traffic.
