Nope, that's about right.

I think I'm a couple of days of work away from having a first alpha, but I
have a lot more that I want to get in during alpha/beta.

There's still some components, such as FormInjector, that haven't had their
JavaScript rewritten, and are broken.

I haven't created a version of core/dom for jQuery yet,or quite figured out
how I want to deal with the "switch" from Prototype to jQuery.

There's some work to be done w.r.t. aggregating modules into stacks.

I need to do some more thinking about the right way to organize the CSS,
and look into writing a CSS aggregator; basically, something that can
rebuild the url() values inside CSS.

One of the nice things is that, outside of a few very localized areas,
server-side hasn't changed much at all in 5.4.

Also, from my perspective, the changes make it much, much easier to build
hybrid applications; it's much more seamless to have Backbone on the client
integrated into a Tapestry form, with unified validation; validation on the
client is now very declarative; just a matter of adding data- attributes to
the element.

Now here's the down side:

I'm very busy. Full time+ work for multiple clients, and a baby due in
February. So I'm trying to get as much done as quickly as I can now. Hang
in there, and any brave souls who want to give it a spin and get me
feedback would be a big help, and very welcome!
