The *host *attribute of the *member* element does not exhibit the same
problem.
The DNS/IP is also reachable via ping and telnet.
I even wrote a simple test to check this, and it works successfully -
java.net.InetAddress bind = java.net.InetAddress.getByName("tomcat");
System.out.println(bind); // Output: tomcat/ip
