It must be hard to get a fresh version of completely free software every
month provided to you. If you want to get versions faster, maybe become
a committer, then release manager? Or, maybe vote on a release? I invite
the entire world to vote on each and every 10.1.x release and to date, I
think I've had maybe one non-committer *ever* vote on a release.
Voting actually helps.
So instead of posting a passive aggressive message on a mailing list,
maybe contribute positively next time?

scanners appear to go by version number only... We all must realize that

Or tell the security folks to do one of:
a) get a better scanner that does something smarter than just look at
the version number
b) mark this as a false positive and stop hassling you
With the volume of reports we are seeing with AI, it is getting more
likely that vulnerabilities that affect non-production configurations
and/or can be easily mitigated will be fixed and announced before the
release with the official "fix" is available.
