Read Peter's response. You will need way more than 8 threads in any real-world
environment. The JVM will use as many cores as are available.
For sure: I normally keep 30 to 50 working on a 4-core machine. A few
are always waiting for something (disk write, http socket, etc) of
course, but not for long.
